Scarification is the removal of thatch and moss from a lawn and is best carried out between March and may whilst the grass is in its most vigorous growing stage, weather dependent it can also be carried out in August and September but not if it's too hot and dry

Removal of moss and thatch allows the proper amount of water air and nutrients to reach the grass root system allowing a thriving lawn to thicken and grow uninhibited.

It's not a pretty sight after competition and the lawn can often look thread bare but after around 3 weeks the grass will be almost fully recovered and much much more healthy and vibrant.
